ContaGen: Contact Discovery Beyond LinkedIn
ContaGen supplements DiscoLike’s contact directory with open-web research when records are missing or incomplete. Coverage gains vary by company, role, and available public sources.
· updated October 6, 2026

Some markets are easy to research through conventional contact databases. Others require company team pages, professional directories, local news, and industry-specific sources.
ContaGen is DiscoLike’s contact discovery agent for that second problem. It researches the public web when existing contact records do not provide enough coverage.
How the two-step workflow works
The workflow begins with DiscoLike’s internal contact directory. ContaGen then researches companies with missing or incomplete contact information.
It uses company context, including the business profile, industry, domain, social URLs, and homepage text, to guide the search. A legal practice and a manufacturing business may require different sources and role descriptions.
Finding a name is only one step. A useful result also needs the correct company association, a relevant role, and sufficiently current evidence.
What our initial testing showed
During the month before the June 2026 launch, we tested ContaGen with clients in plastic surgery, manufacturing, dermatology, real estate, legal services, and CBD ecommerce.
We observed coverage lifts of roughly 2.5x to 3.5x across company coverage and contacts found in those tests. Test your own vertical and role mix to measure the additional contacts ContaGen can contribute.
Models, search, and cost
ContaGen is available to DiscoLike subscribers. You can use supported model and search providers with your own keys. Provider charges depend on search depth, the model, and how many contacts you request.
Our launch examples estimated $3-$5 per 1,000 discovered contacts when searching for five contacts per company. Treat that as a historical workload estimate, not a fixed current price.
The later Local B2B Search: Geography, Niches, and AI release introduced DiscoLike/Groove for contact extraction without requiring your own LLM subscription. Search-provider and record costs still need to be considered. See pricing for current plan terms.
Validate before using the results
Check company affiliation and role relevance, deduplicate people, and distinguish a discovered person from a verified email address. Public sources can be stale even when a search result is recent.
Try ContaGen in DiscoLike on a segment where your existing contact source is thin. Measure accepted contacts per company and the cost of obtaining them.
