Local B2B Search: Geography, Niches, and AI
DiscoLike’s September 2026 release added radius and area search, close to 300 SMB subindustries, and specialized models for contact extraction and ICP validation.

Local B2B prospecting often needs a more specific question than “companies in this city.” A field team may need HVAC businesses within a service territory, followed by contact discovery and qualification.
DiscoLike’s September 2026 release adds geographic search, narrower SMB categories, and two models for the research that follows discovery.
Search by radius or rectangular area
For geolocated businesses in the index, you can search around a point with a specified radius or define a rectangular area.
This supports practical territory questions: which suitable companies are near a branch, warehouse, event, or partner location?
An address point does not necessarily describe a company’s service area. Review location types and multi-location organizations when the campaign depends on physical coverage. Businesses without usable coordinates may not appear in an area query.
Use a narrower SMB subindustry
The release introduces close to 300 subcategories derived from recurring customer searches. Examples include SEO agencies and lead-generation businesses under marketing, and roofing, HVAC, and electrical businesses under construction.
A narrower category can reduce the amount of proxy filtering needed to describe a local market. It still needs to match your campaign’s definition.
Combine a subindustry with geography to find relevant HVAC businesses in a territory, then review representative records before export.
Groove for open-web contact extraction
DiscoLike/Groove is optimized for extracting contact results from open-web searches used by ContaGen. It works with search providers including Serper and APIserpent and does not require a customer-supplied LLM subscription.
The model addresses extraction. Contact affiliation, role relevance, and email availability remain separate checks.
Vibecheck for ICP fit validation
DiscoLike/Vibecheck is optimized for company-fit validation, using training material from millions of validations run through DiscoLike.
Use it to evaluate candidate companies before investing in additional enrichment. Keep a sample of known fits and mismatches so you can assess the decisions for your specific market.
Both models are included for subscribers. Search-provider and other usage charges may still apply. When you use the models, search and validation queries may be used to continue improving them.
Run the workflow through your preferred interface
The capabilities are accessible through MCP, API, CLI, or SDK.
Start with one territory and subindustry, inspect a sample, validate fit, then research contacts for the accepted companies. Try local company search to build the candidate list for that territory.
