DiscoGen: AI Company Research with Context
DiscoGen creates company research columns from prompts grounded in company profiles and homepage text. Each company is processed in a separate context.
· updated October 6, 2026

DiscoGen turns a research question into a column for each company in your search results. It supplies the company profile and homepage text so you can investigate products, customers, and ICP fit without assembling that context by hand.
The useful difference is the starting evidence. A company name alone may be ambiguous; a domain, address, description, and website text make the intended company clearer.
What context goes into a company research task?
DiscoGen supplies available profile information such as name, domain, address, contact information, categories, keywords, description, and homepage text.
That context helps distinguish similarly named companies and gives the model something concrete to evaluate. If the page lacks the answer, the research should return an unresolved result.
One company per research context
Each company receives a separate prompt context. This limits the chance that details from one record bleed into another during a bulk job.
You still need to specify the question and output. For example:
Identify whether this company sells its own software product. Return yes, no, or unknown. Include the supporting homepage sentence and distinguish a product vendor from a consulting service.
An “unknown” option is useful when the homepage is incomplete or ambiguous.
Choose whether the task needs web search
Keep research limited to supplied company data when you want to know what the homepage says. Enable search when you need external evidence or recent information, such as a funding announcement.
For search tasks, request source URLs and dates. For profile-only tasks, preserve the supporting text so reviewers can inspect the decision.
Start with a small research column
Choose a question your team can judge manually. Review a sample, adjust the prompt, and expand only after you understand the error patterns.
DiscoGen supports bring-your-own-key research. Homepage text is included for Discover results; model and search-provider charges depend on your configuration. See pricing or use the API to incorporate research into your account workflow.
